NFL Star Condemns Leagues For Supporting BLM
On Sunday, protesters took to the streets of Portland to burn Bibles, crosses, and the American flag in a blaze they set in front of a federal courthouse.
According to the New York Post, tensions have been rising in the city between federal agents and Black Lives Matter protesters for weeks.
After last week’s ‘bonfire,’ though, former Heisman Trophy winner turned NFL star Herschel Walker has seen enough.
“For the first time in a long time, I stopped in the middle of my workout because last night I saw something that really, really disturbed me,” he told the Daily Wire.
‘Fighting For America’
Walker is frustrated with the demonstrators for taking things too far, but not nearly as disappointed as he is with professional sports leagues that appear to fully support this behavior.
“I saw a bunch of people holding a ‘BLM’ sign burning the Holy Bible, flag of the United States of America, and a cross,” the former high school valedictorian stated. “I started thinking, NFL, NBA, WNBA, MLB -- is this the people you’re supporting right now?”

The Business Journals reports that pro leagues have been honoring the BLM Movement by letting players wear social justice messages on jerseys or take a knee during the anthem.
Repeating History
While these acts or not innately dangerous, Walker is hoping league executives revisit what they are condoning by letting these ‘small’ gestures pass.
Worse, the football legend thinks the movement is not doing anything but putting America in a bad light.
“We were taking a knee a couple years ago and what did it accomplish? I said, ‘Guys, what is your endgame? What do you want? No one is saying what they want,” he said. “Why don’t people give solutions rather than do things against the greatest country, which is the United States of America.”
