Goodyear is under fire for preaching about equity in a seminar that explicitly promoted discrimination.

According to a report by local news station WIBW, employees of the tire company’s plant in Topeka, Kansas were sat down for a seminar on the firm’s ‘Zero Tolerance Policy.’

One of the slides flashed in the ‘diversity training’ differentiated what is and isn’t acceptable as ‘statement’ attires in the company’s premises.

Listed under acceptable messages are ‘Black Lives Matter’ and LGBT Pride. Meanwhile, the ‘unacceptable’ column included Blue Lives Matter, All Lives Matter, MAGA attire, and other ‘Political Affiliated Slogans or Material’.

Needless to say, the policy was confusing at the least, and hypocritical at the core.

Broken Moral Compass

“If someone wants to wear a BLM shirt in here, then cool. I’m not going to get offended about it,” an employee who requested anonymity told reporters. 

“But at the same time, if someone's not going to be able to wear something that is politically based, even in the farthest stretch of the imagination, that's discriminatory. If we're talking about equality, then it needs to be equality. If not, it's discrimination."

A closer look at the slide in question proves The Daily Wire’s assertion that such policy is ‘outrageous on a number of levels.’

How can a company claim to have zero tolerance towards all politically-affiliated slogans and then allow BLM messages in the same breath (or slide)?

BLM is an intensely political organization with roots in Marxism, while ‘blue lives matter’ is hardly even a ‘movement’ -- just a statement of solidarity with law enforcement, who have received nothing more than raw hatred from the liberally political.

Trump Calls for Boycott

On Wednesday morning, President Donald Trump called for a boycott of the Goodyear. 
This prompted the tire company to stand down and disown the slide in question, saying it was “not generated by the corporate offices.”

“To be clear on our longstanding corporate policy, Goodyear has zero tolerance for any forms of harassment or discrimination,” the statement read. 

“To enable a work environment free of those, we ask that associates refrain from workplace expressions in support of political campaigning for ay candidate or political party, as well as similar forms of advocacy that fall outside the scope of racial justice and equity issues.”
