The NBA season is less than 4 weeks away from resuming and COVID-19 continues to dominate the headlines. Just in case you missed the top stories of the week, we cover them all here. Lebron and JR Reunite

Some things are just meant to be. Just like Lebron James and JR Smith playing together. As flagged in last week’s weekly wrap, JR Smith has signed with the Lakers to help cover for Avery Bradley. Pelicans Star “Not That Confident” Season Will Finish

Doubt continues to cloud the restart of the NBA season, with the US recently passing 3 million confirmed cases of Coronavirus. All-star Brandon Ingram has come out openly and said that he doesn’t have faith that the NBA season will get an outcome.

When asked if he thought the season would finish, he said, “I’m not that confident about that. New cases are coming up. Different things are happening. I’m not very confident. But they’ve got us going to Orlando on (Wednesday), so we’ll see.”

Luckily for Ingram, the Pelicans are most likely going to be out of the picture once the playoffs being.

In or Out?

So many reports have been coming out over the last few weeks about players potentially sitting out of the NBA restart due to varying reasons. To make life easier for you, here is a list of players that will definitely be sitting out:

Trevor Ariza, Portland

Davis Bertans, Washington

Avery Bradley, Lakers

Willie Cauley-Stein, Dallas

Wilson Chandler, Brooklyn

DeAndre Jordan, Brooklyn

Victor Oladipo, Indiana

Thabo Sefolosha, Houston

And this just in, Spencer Dinwiddie has tested positive again and will not be able to join his teammates in Orlando.

Another Team Bites The Dust

The Sacramento Kings have reportedly shut down their training facility after a member of their travelling party tested positive for COVID-19.

That makes it a total of seven teams that have had to shut down their training facilities due to positive COVD-19 tests. 

The Kings join the Bucks, Heat, Clippers, Nuggets, Suns and Nets in having to shut down training.

D-Wade Living His Best Life

While current NBA players are facing stressful times getting ready for the bubble, a recently retired NBA Superstar is making the most of life away from basketball. He invited Jared Esguerra, a 17-year-old hair colourist, to update his hair. Maybe Wade is missing the Heat or he has too much time on his hands, but one thing is for sure…..his hair is on fire!

It brings new meaning to the term “he’s on fire”, made famous by the timeless game NBA Jam.
